If you wish to use your GPS with SoftMap
products you will need Version 5 software
This is included in the
topo50, topo20 and Canada topo250 products.
This is included in the TopoWeb
products.
With the GPS interface you can:
- Get
real-time positioning, plus transfer tracks, routes and waypoints with Garmin
and Magellan GPS receivers
- Get
real-time positioning with all other NMEA 0183 v.2
output GPS receivers
- Please note: the maps do not appear on
the screen of the GPS unit
The
GPS interface used to be offered separately for $79.95 and is now included free
with Version 5. Similar GPS interfaces for other digital map products sell for
more than $100!
If you wish to add a GPS
interface to a topo50, topo20 or topo250 CD package you already own, you may
purchase a TopoWeb Canada package to
obtain the GPS software. This runs on SoftMap Plus version 5 software, which
includes the GPS interface at no extra charge. SoftMap Plus version 5 software
works with all the topo50 and topo20 maps on CD-ROM
products.
If you already own a topo50, topo20 or Canada
topo250 CD package, you may wish to download an upgrade to Version 5 software -
coming soon (April 2007).
